During the installation and setup stages of JIRA on my server, I was not asked to connect to my server mySQL DB although it was one of the steps. Right now, I don't know which DB is it using, but I want it to connect to my local DB? Please help on that

Go to your JIRA Home directory and look for the file called dbconfig.xml - open it up and you should see the current connection, and hopefully be able to see how to change it to another.

Bear in mind that if you just swap it to an empty database, it will need to re-do all the population and setup.
