How to change DNS name correctly for the Jira and the Confluence?
E.g. now I have:
https://someprefix.atlassian.net/browse/PROJECTID-71
and want use the
https://jira.mydomain.com/PROJECTID-71
Will it be just dns configuration on my side (my dns) from the https://someprefix.atlassian.net/browse to the https://jira.mydomain.com or I should configure something at the admin console of the https://someprefix.atlassian.net/?
In such case, will Jira resolve the urls in correct way?
adding to what Nic already said here is the corresponding Suggestion logged with Atlassian which you could vote & watch for:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-6999
The topic is in "progress" but stalled at the moment - some kind of block which prevents the initially started progress in that matter.
The best progress update you can get is from the link above - in case you "watch" the Suggestion on the Issue Tracker you will get notified via mail as soon as something changes.
Cheers,
Daniel
Thanks for the additional notes and especially for the jira Id. Will watch on it

You do not.
Atlassian Cloud systems currently only work on <something>.atlassian.net
You can get the <something> changed by asking Atlassian, but not frequently.
You may see some people say that they can put another domain in front of your <something>.atlassian.net, and it is partially true, but it rapidly fails and a lot of stuff doesn't work properly until you revert back to the real url.

so, there is no way to use my domain name instead the atlassian.net? even for non-free plans?

Not yet. They're working on it for premium, but there's no solid timetable.
