How to block parent issue when using ScriptRunner Post-Function to create a subtask?

Working in an active workflow and adding a post function to a transition, I have been successful in auto creating sub-tasks when conditions are met. However, I cannot see how to make the sub-tasks block the parent issue.

If I understand correctly, you need a sub-task to prevent the issue to be transitioned before the sub-task is closed?

If so check this, this applies to issue can't be resolved before all sub-tasks are closed but it can be applied on all transitions

If that's not the case, can you specify what exactly should sub-task block?

 That was it!  I was able to accomplish all sub-tasks from blocking the parent issue from moving to a selected transition unless all sub-tasks were closed.
