How to automate recruiting?

Hello community,

i´m new to Jira and interested in automate recruiting process.

I´ve created a new project with the complete workflow.

My question now is , is it possible to automaticly create issues from an e-mail?

I receive about 1000 requests per year and my idea is to put them automaticly in to jira.

I hope i can find some help here.

Hi @Kevin Schmidt ,

Yes, you can use the Jira Mail handler to automatically create issues, see here.

There is a downside and that is that you can't populate any fields with it. The email subject is the Jira summary, the email body will be the description, and attachments, well they stay attachments.

If you want to fill fields based upon a certain mail format you use, you need to automate things. This can be with Automation for Jira or you can use a dedicated app like Enterprise mail handler.
