Cindy Li July 11, 2024

for the project "Local DSMC Gen2"(LOCALDSMC2), I try to add security level, but I didn't find the "attribute" according to the guideline below. There's no "ISSUE ATTRIBUTE". I want to add "Ford" and "Supplier" two types. please help to take a look. Thanks!

Create an issue security scheme

  1. Select > Issues.

  2. Under ISSUE ATTRIBUTES, select Issue security schemes.

  3. Click Add Issue Security Scheme.

  4. Fill in the requested details and click Add.Untitled.png

Hi Cindy - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Is this a Company-managed project? If so, go to Settings (gear icon in upper right) > Issues > Issue Security Schemes (on the bottom left).

Thank you, John,

yes, it's the Company-managed project. I'm sorry I didn't find the "schemes" in the bottom left. please refer to the pic.Untitled.png

Did you follow the steps that I outlined above? Because the screenshot is not from that path.

There's no Project setting in upper right. I found the project setting in the bottom left... I also clicked the "..." in the upper right, but there's no "project setting".Untitled.png

The instructions do not say go to project setting. It says go to settings, which is the gear icon in the upper right.

Cindy Li July 11, 2024

Hi John, I checked the settings but there's no "Issues " menu. Untitled.pngUntitled1.pngUntitled3.pngUntitled4.png

Ah, that's the problem. You are not a Jira Administrator and will not be able to add the security level yourself. You will need to get one of your Jira Admins to do that.

Cindy Li July 11, 2024

Thank you, John, I will contact our Jira Admin.

Hi Cindy,

Looks like you do not have permission to set the issue security level. You need to have Administer Jira permission to set this. This is available under global permission and your org admin can give you this permission.

Thank you,

Ok, I will try, thank you, Prachi~
