In the same way that "Assignee", "Type" and "Status" are filter picklists permanently pinned to the calendar, I would like to add additional filter picklists for "Component" and "Sprint" so that's the calendar is more user friendly, especially for less involved users. How can I do this? I'm aware of the "More Filters" option, but this requires multiple steps each time one needs to apply a filter
Hi @Tyler Datko,
you're absolutely right — the built-in Jira calendar has limited pinned filters, and there’s currently no way to permanently add more beyond “Assignee”, “Type”, and “Status”.
If you’re looking for a bit more flexibility, our team at Teamlead (Atlassian Marketplace Partner) has built an app called Calendar for Jira, which allows you to create your own calendars with custom JQL-based filters that can be saved, pinned, and reused anytime — no need to re-apply them every session.
You can, for example, build a calendar based on a JQL query including Components or Sprints, and then add Quick Filters (like “status = In Progress” or “component = Backend”) that stay available with one click.
Hope this helps! You can find Calendar for Jira on the Atlassian Marketplace if you’d like to explore this option. :)
Hi @Tyler Datko , @Jo-Lee Bertrand , thank you for your feedback. Let me tag Atlassian into this post and see what they say.
Cheers

Hi @Tyler Datko , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your post.
Please can you share some screens of what you are trying to do?
I think, if you mean that you are trying to show more attributes at the level of a card, in the Calendar or in the board view, you might be running into the limitation that, for cards at least, you can only pin three fields https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/customize-cards/ but I might be misunderstanding what you are asking.
Please can you confirm what you want to achieve?
Best wishes

Hi @Valerie Knapp , thank you for your response. I'm not working with Cards, but rather I am working with the Jira Calendar on a board. Our calendar has 3 filters which are always present in all calendars, as I have circled in the red box ("Assignee", "Type" and "Status"). Every time you go to a calendar, they are already there ready to use. I would like to add two more filters "Component" and "Sprint' that are also always displayed and ready to use. I know that I can select "More Filters" and add them that way, but the problem is they are only temporary and when the window is closed, we lose them and so we constantly have to add them back in and the user experience is very poor

Hi @Tyler Datko , thanks for the clarification.
I am afraid that from the documentation, it is not currently possible to enable other attributes to that filter selection - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-your-calendar/
Sorry

Does anyone know if there is a current feature request for this? I also need this and cannot use the marketplace app (public institution).
