How to add indentation to Jira field

I want to create indentations within my Description field in Jira.  I've consulted Text Formatting Notation Help for all other types of text-based formatting and they work great.  However, I can't find the notation to add indentations without it being a list with a symbol or number.

Is there really no way to add non-number/non-symbol indentations, or tabs, to my field formatting?

If you are on Cloud there is no opportunity to modify this. If on server I would assume you could crack open the code and modify. Not that I would recommend that.
