We are using Jira Assets cloud at the moment and we want to be able to add images to objects. We have a map of desks that are numbered and we want to add an image of this map with the desk highlighted to computer assets. Is this possible?
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for using the Atlassian Community!
When you say "add images to objects?", how are you wanting to those to display?
You can add attachments to objects using the Attachments tab on the object. There you can attach images and or files that might be pertinent to the object.
Best,
Andy
I did not see that before, thanks. I thought adding images were going to be through like an attribute with an image type value or so. Is there a way to get the image to display like this?

Ryan,
My pleasure!
There isn't a way to get the image to show in an attribute like that so far as I am aware if the image is going to be different per object (like an attachment).
If the image is the same for every object in that object type, you might be able to leverage something like an Avatar tied to an Object Type . But note that the KB there does make use of internal API calls that may change without notice. And again, this will be same image for every Object in an Object Type. This will show up either on the Avatar tab or along the right side panel if there is an Avatar uploaded.
If you want to have different images per Object, then there isn't a way outside of the Attachments that I noted above as far as I am aware. You may want to submit a feature request around that if that is functionality you are interested in.
Best,
Andy

Alright, I appreciate all the help. I will use the attachments on the object. Thanks!
