In our project we work with Jira to plan our work in sprints by defining and refining user stories. In the refinement sessions we add sub tasks to the user story before it is taken in the sprint(plan). Now we have a re-testing user story where we want to re-test solved defects. These defects are also registered in bug reports in Jira and present/visible in our backlog. We now would like to add these already existing bug reports to the re-testing user story (same way as we do with adding sub tasks). How can we do this?
If these "bug reports" use a work type, like for example "Bug", then you need to link them.
Or if you want (not a best practice), open a Bug and press the 3 dot optitn and select "Convert to sub-task" then you will be asked which issue to set as the parent
Hi @Marc -Devoteam- ,
As I did not quite understand the first part of your answer, I went for the "not so best practice", second option. That just works fine for me. Thanks for the help.
