image.pngI logged in as the user which I created while buying the Jira-license but I am not able to add the user to JIRA-ADMINISTRATOR group. After adding jira-admin group, I am getting the message that the user has been added to the group but when I go the user screen it is still showing site-admin not Jira-admin. I did not find any option to make the user Jira-admin.

I want to achieve followings

1. Delete issues

2. remove users

for both I need jira-admin permission which I am not sure how to do.

request community help on this.

Maybe try to remove that user from the site-admin group first, before you try to remove him from the system.

Also, why do you want to remove that user and not just disable him?

Hi @Arvind Sinha  - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

1. To delete issues, you must have privileges to do that in the Permission Scheme connected to your project. Check the scheme to see what roles or groups can do that. You do not have to be a Jira Administrator to see that or to delete issues if you have the permissions already. But you DO need to be a Jira Administrator to change the Permission Scheme. But you already are in the jira-administrators group, so you have those privileges.

But just because you are a Jira Administrator does not mean you can automatically delete issues on all projects - it depends on the Permission Scheme.

2. To remove users you need to be in the site-admins group, which you are.

So, the question is, what are you trying to do that you are not able to do in the system?

But when I look at your screenshot - you are already a member of administrator group .
