I want to add the Microsoft Team name as "Cloud Operations" in the field, however it is not getting reflected with any results.

Hi @Raima Das

Welcome to the community.

Did you connect you MS Team tenant, see, connect-microsoft-teams-to-your-service-project

The above needs to be done 1st, then you can integrate-with-microsoft-teams

If Microsoft Teams integration shows no channels available, ensure the JSM project has the appropriate permissions by checking the "Who can raise requests" restrictions in Project Settings, and confirm the Jira-Microsoft connection is set up correctly in Jira Service Management settings.

You may also need to refresh the integration or reset it tand start again, as issues with tokens or configurations can prevent channels from appearing.

  1. Verify Jira Service Management and Microsoft Tenant Connection
Go to Settings > Products > Operations > Chat and video tools > Microsoft Teams.
  2. Refresh or Reset the Integration
    1. Refresh the integration:

You might need to re-authenticate the integration by initiating the full authentication flow again.
    2. Reset the integration:
To start over from the beginning, go to the Integrations page, open the Microsoft Teams integration, select the More actions option, and choose Reset.
  3. Check for Existing Channels

If a channel for an incident already exists in your JSM project, it can sometimes cause an error, preventing the creation of new channels.

Look for existing integrations or channels to ensure you are not trying to create a duplicate, as this can lead to the "no channels available" issue.
  4. Confirm User Permissions within Microsoft Teams
If you are trying to use a private channel, ensure that the members of the team have the necessary permissions to create private channels, as this setting can be restricted by the organisation's administrator.
