How to add a Issue to Lead by default and there by they can assign to anyone?

Rahul Janagam September 25, 2020

I would like to add a issue to my team, but i don't know who has to work on that. So i will add it to a lead of the project and there by they can assign to any resource who may work on that issue.

Hi Rahul, welcome to the Community. There are different ways to handle this. The one method often used is to leverage the Components field and define Component leads. So when creating a new issue if the Component is filled in (dropdown) then the issue will be auto-assigned to the component lead. There are other ways, the best options depends on your requirements and desires.

Hi Jack,
Thanks for the response.

My exact concern is "I would like to add issues to different projects. There are one project leads for each project. I want to add that default Project Lead for all the issues i create so there by the PL can assign to who ever is supposed to work on that." Is there any other method apart from the Component Field. If,so please let me know.

yes you can do that too....

project settings > details, at the bottom of that page set the Project Lead and set the Default assignee to "Project lead"
