How to add PTO (employee vacation) to the JIra calendar

How can team members add their vacation days to the Jira calendar?

Jira calendars display issues. The team members would have to create Jira issues for their PTO in order for that to display on the calendar.

Yeah, creating issues for PTO is the only way to get them on the Jira calendar. Downside is it mixes with your real work.

Some teams create a separate "Time Off" project so it doesn't clutter the main boards. You can then overlay that project's calendar if needed.

If you'd rather keep PTO out of Jira issues entirely, there are a few Marketplace apps that track it separately with their own calendar view.

One up on Trudy's suggestion. In our team we log PTO in our team project and add the Due Date as the date/ dates we are on PTO
