How to achieve incremental burn as you move issues across swim lanes?

How can I have an incremental burn on my burndown report. Currently, my burndown chart does not burn points unless issues are moved to the 'Done" column. So in a 2-week sprint, I may have a plateaued progression until an issue reaches the done status on the board lane.  I am currently using Jira Next Gen Project Board and using the default SCRUM configuration. 

I found this online but I cannot find how to navigate through the indicated workflow in Jira Next Gen. I am also not sure if the URL below even helps me achieve what I am trying to do as mentioned above.

Incremental burn down with story points is not possible. It is only possible when you are using time estimation, as is stated in the document you referenced in the last paragraph preceding the "Setting the Estimation Statistic" section.

And time estimation is not currently available in Next Gen projects. I found that information by going to the Project Settings for a Next Gen project, selecting Features, and clicking on the Learn More link under Estimation.
