Hi everyone!
I’m setting up Jira Automation and using the Send Slack message action but the messages are currently showing up under my personal Slack username. I’d like them to appear from a neutral source like Jira Automation or a bot user instead.
This is similar to how NYT Letter Boxed answers handles system feedback clean, consistent and not tied to an individual user. Has anyone configured the Slack integration at the site or bot level so automation messages stay standardized? Also, since Slack is deprecating webhooks, I’m trying to avoid solutions that won’t be future-proof.
Would appreciate any best-practice advice. Thanks!
Hello @Hellen charless
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
According to the documentation there should be a checkbox in the Send Slack Message action to send the message as Automation for Jira.
So you not see that option?
I don't have my Jira connected to a Slack workspaces so I can't look at the current actual implementation.
