Currently, the attachment panel on a Jira Cloud issue (both list view and strip view) only shows: file name, size, date added, and action icons (download/delete).
There is no way to see who uploaded an attachment without using the REST API.
Why this matters:
In collaborative issues with multiple contributors, knowing who uploaded a file provides critical context
It helps identify the right person to ask questions about the attachment
It's basic metadata that already exists in the system but is hidden from the UI
Request: Add an "Uploaded by" column (or tooltip) showing the attachment author in the issue attachment panel.
Hi @Sunil_Bhadauriya
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Atlassian already has an open feature request covering this functionality:
JRACLOUD-76004 – Display author in the attachment list in the new view
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-76004
I'd recommend voting for and watching the suggestion, as Atlassian uses customer interest to help prioritize enhancements.
