I have created drop down lists in Issues types in the new version of Jira, the lists have 58 items in them and I am now no longer able to add new items as there is a cap/limit of 55 items per drop down list.
Is this a change? Is it possible to remove this cap as we are using it to identify components within our software?
Hi Fiona,
I would suggest you put in a Support Request with Atlassian. This might be a bug or new direction from them. But I think only they will know at this point.
Thanks, I have logged a ticket now so hopefully this limit will be resolved.

I filed a ticket a few days back. The suggestion was to separate options to multiple dropdowns.

I got this error today as well. I have around 90 items on one of my dropdowns. I did not encounter this a few weeks ago. +1 on how to get this cap removed.

Neither - not sure why they'd add this limit. I have logged a support ticket so will update this page when I have a response.
