How do you remove "test-legacy" tickets from the backlog

I need help removing test-legacy tickets from the backlog.  They are in closed status and I am a admin in the jira project but I have no way to remove them/or dont know how.  They have been on backlog since before I joined the project for a few years now and I would like them removed if someone can provide me the steps to do this it would be great!  There are approximately 1000 of these tickets sitting in the backlog.

Welcome to the community.

There are multiple possible solutions, but first I need more information.

Is this a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? It will say at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left.

Is this a scrum board or a kanban board?

Is "Release 4" an Epic of which they are children, or is that a Version/Release?

Is the Status assigned to these issues mapped to the right-most column of your board?
