How do you make the JIRA attachments thumbnail on issues screen larger?

When I add attachments to issues, the thumbnails for the attachments that show in the Description section of the issues modal appear much smaller than I'd like. Are there any ways in which you could change the size of these attachments thumbnails?

Hello,

There are two location where the thumbnail is rendered in the fields (like you are describing in the issue description) and in the Attachment panel.

To alter the Thumbnail in a field, there is also an additional discrepancy regarding classic view and the new issue view on Jira Cloud specifically with the New Issue View. 

When using the Classic view make sure the field is using wiki markup and you can specify the size of the thumbnail using the format:

!EXE.png|thumbnail, width=300,height=400! 

However in the New issue view, wiki markup formatting is no longer an option in favor of wizywig drag and drop options discussed in the "Changes to issues in the new issue view" documentation, and there is not a resize option yet, and we are tracking interest in this feature at the following link.  make sure to add a vote to help influence the priority:

Jira attachment thumbnails in the attachment panel are a set size of 200X200 pixels, and the default cannot be updated in Jira Cloud only in Jira Server.

There is a workaround in Jira Server noted here, but the workaround requires modifying system property files which are restricted on the Jira Cloud platform, but for anyone that finds this and is looking at the workaround for the Server platform note the current Bug in this as well, "viewable here" ,that affects 7.12 and later.
