I started using the nexgen project to better manage various projects, I've labeld each project as an epic. Under each epic I created an issue type called Sub-epic to group all the stories together that pertains to the sub-epic. I've created custom fields to track development and qa hours. How can I create a report with all of this information to assist with sprint planning.

Hello Taj,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

In fact, the Next-gen template was designed for those users who felt overwhelmed by the complexity of JIRA Classic template and requested a simpler option, straight to the point with fewer options of customization.

That being said, I believe the Next-gen template does not provide the report you are looking for, but only the three following reports: Burn-up Report, Velocity Report and Cumulative flow diagram.

All the reports above can be accessed by turning on the reports feature under Project Settings > Features.

Besides that, I believe that export your issues to CSV would be the option that would better work for your need, where you would be able to:

1 - Filter and export any issues you want in a list format

2 - Export their relation links (Epic and sub-task links)

3 - Export the custom fields you added to it

To export your issues to CSV:

- click in the search button at the left of JIRA application > Advanced search

- Create a filter with the issues you want to export > Click on the three dots icon at the top-right corner > Export using CSV

Let me know if you have any questions.
