How do you keep track on when you need to order more licenses?

We're trying to solve a problem where we have to either manually check how many Jira and Confluence licenses we have left or wait for them to run out in order to trigger us to buy more. There doesn't seem to be an easy to get a reminder from Atlassian regarding this. Has anyone found a more creative solution to automating this so you are notified when you are running low and it's time to order more?

It will be hard for Atlassian Team to know your roadmap. Here is what I mean only your company can know their growth and based on that your Atlassian Admin needs to discuss with their Manager that a license number increase is needed.

Sometimes checking if all licenses are being used helps, as you don't want to end up buying more when not all licenses are being used.

First step if you can run some queries against the DB or if you have a better way to do it, see how many licenses are being used. Then you can go from there and see over the months the requests to grant more users access to Atlassian Tools. Based on that you can make a decision.
