How do you hide tickets in status "Code Review" from backlog?

I am working with a next-gen Jira board. When I look at the backlog, tickets in status "Code Review" are showing in the backlog. How do I filter/hide these tickets?

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to define which issues are displayed in the backlog of Next-gen boards.

This happens because the simplest architecture of Next-gen does not allow the editing of the board filter or the mapping of status in the board columns, as you can do in Classic projects.

That being said, we created the following feature request to allow this feature in Next-gen projects:

Ability to hide issues from next-gen boards

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, the only possible workaround would be to migrate your issues to a Classic board, where you can hide or change where the issue is displayed.
