As a newstarter, I need access to one of the boards that my company manages, however the person (admin/creator), is no longer with the company.
Any chance you can provide advice? Would prefer to keep this to a private conversation/phone call.
Thanks!
Hello @FRM Finance
Welcome to the community.
When you say access to the board, are you talking about access to see the board and the issues in it, or access to modify the settings of the board?
The people in your company who are Jira Administrators will have sufficient access to update the Administrators of an agile board and update the owner of the filter on which the board is based, as described in @John Funk 's response.
Only the owner of the saved filter will be able to give you permission to see the filter and thereby the board.
However, you are also going to need the Browse Projects permission in the projects from with the board is collecting issues in order to see those issues in that board. Those permissions are managed in the Permission Scheme assigned to the projects. Depending on how those Permission Schemes are set up, ensuring you have the necessary permission could also require a Jira Administrator modify the Permission Scheme.
Hi Vicky - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Do you know the board name? If so, you can go to Settings > System > Shared filters.
There, search for the filter and change the ownership of the filter. Then the new owner can make changes to the board.
