How do create a template a JIRA project including issues without any add-ons

Matthew Taylor August 28, 2024

Looking at ways I can create my own JIRA project template that has some issues/tasks so I don't have to recreate each time for similar projects?

or

A simple way of copying an existing JIRA project including its current issues and tasks?

ideally without add-ons

Hi Matthew,

Without any add-ons, my only suggestion would be to create a project with issues to use as a template. Then, whenever you create a new project that needs these template issues, perform a csv export of issues from the source project. Then, import the csv into the new project you just created.

Thank you Chris for the suggestion

For sure! And as far as copying the project configuration, using the "share settings with an existing project" option when creating the new project should help you there.
