What field did you select for the Jira field to sync from Jira to Asana?
Might be good to show a screenshot of this configuration, make sure any sensitive information is covered up though there shouldn't be any.
Under field connectors there likely should be something there, not sure what Asana sees, could be comments or comment body, something like that.
I haven't set up a sync with Asana but I have with other similar software.
Also I'm sure you have seen this already, but just in case you haven't, check out Asana for Jira Cloud.
