How do I share artifacts at project level in JIRA?

How do I share artifacts (e.g diagram and text) across the entire project, not just at issue level at JIRA?  Something like a common area for posting information.

JIRA doesn't really have much at the project level - projects are for gathering together issues, and you're expected to work on issues.  Most of us have Confluence spaces for projects alongside JIRA, that's ideal for documenting project stuff
