I want to set up Automation rules where when a reporter creates a ticket in Project A and links a ticket that's belonging in Project B, they will get notified every time the ticket in Project B gets transitioned through the workflow. Please help!

Seung Lee,

I don't know that this is the best solution for you for two reasons:

  1. There are other methods of  notifications. The reporter can add themselves as a watcher on the linked ticket and get notifications as well.
  2. You'll likely run into the service limits very quickly. Users on a free plan only get 100 executions per month on rules which touch multiple projects (which yours would need to). If you perform more than 100 transitions over the month, your automation would stop  working.

This is correct - the free plans are going to be a huge limitation for you. You can do this, but you'll quickly run into problems with the number of automation executions you can use.

In every users personal settings you'll find this list - it can probably solve your problems.  You want to check that last one, as well as make sure "You're the reporter" is checked...
