I need to select 'Status' column in the query output.  Using the 'Columns' option, I type 'Status', but none of the return output is what I need.  It has 'xx more options. Continue typing to refine further'  but that's all I can type is Status, nothing more to refine.  so how do I get the Status column?  See screen shot below.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The proper solution for this is to get your admins to fix the "fielditis" problem they've allowed to happen in Jira, starting by getting rid of most (ideally all) the fields with "status" in their name.

The way to fix this now is to use the "restore defaults" option at the top of the list of fields and then go back and add or remove the other fields.  The defaults include the status field.
