How do I see Status on the Board Backlog view?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring Columns

How do I see Status on the Board Backlog view? I want to see the current status of each job in thise View, not just in the Active Sprints one.

That's not what a backlog is for, so you don't really.
