How do I resize the left sidebar when the bar won't slide?

At some point last week, I tried to resize the sidebar to see more of the menu items and it resized to half the page, unintentionally.  Now when I try to resize it to be narrower, I get the curser to show the double arrows but it won't slide/move.  

I seem to be unable to attach a screenshot here.

Hi @eelliott have you tried another browser, or another PC?  Wondering if it may be related to cookies in your browser.  Do other people have the same behavior?  It is working for me in my instance.  

What browser are you using? I tried it with Edge & Chrome and both are working on my PC.

I'm using Edge.  I haven't tried Chrome but will try.  I deleted the cookies because initially I was missing the sign in icon as well.  Once I deleted the cookies, that reappeared but still can't move the sidebar column.

Just tried Chrome and when I went to slide it left, it went right to half the screen again and I can't resize it.

Apparently the same issue is happening for others on my team.
