Good day ,
There was a was a change in my JIRA profile and my personal account provided information become not editable and everything now is "is set by your admin". Before that change (early 2025) I was able to edit my personal information.
The JIRA account is Managed Account.
However, I do not know who is Administrator to contact to, the organization is so large and names are not exposed to me via interface on whom to contact to.
And I cannot create tickets to JIRA support, this option is reserved only for specific people.
How do I request for change in my profile , If I do not know whom to contact to in the first place , under GDPR or other matter ?
Hi @Maksims ,
I'd suggest reaching out to your manager (or potentially HR department) as they will most likely be able to find out who Organization admins are within your company. 👈
Alternatively, you could use the contact Jira admin form if one has been set up. You can find this by navigating to Settings next to your user profile and click on contact your Jira admin link. Again, if this has not been enabled in your instance, you won't see this link.
But, in the end, most people follow internal Org charts, or if you're a part of a larger company, there's usually one contact email address related to Jira or general IT Ops questions. It really depends on your company's policies.
Cheers,
Tobi
Hi @Maksims
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
It indicates, that your Atlassian account has been converted into a Managed Account.
This happens when your organization (the domain owner) claims ownership of all Atlassian accounts associated with that email domain.
When this occurs:
Profile information like name, job title, department, and contact info becomes controlled by your organization’s identity provider (IdP) — such as Azure AD, Okta, or Google Workspace.
The “is set by your admin” message means those fields are synchronized from the IdP.
You can’t edit them directly anymore, because the company has centralized user management.
Unfortunately, Atlassian hides admin names from end-users in managed organizations.
However, here are ways to find or reach the right contact:
1. Someone who manages projects or user permissions in Jira (like a project admin) can typically identify who the site administrator or Atlassian Org Admin is.
2. Look for a “Help” or “Service Desk” portal; many large organizations have an internal service desk (sometimes inside Jira itself) to handle access or account changes.

I understand that there is no answer from Atlassian on that issue.
And from my side have no clue there are these administrators and responsible people in my global company. Everything behind many walls.
"contact your Jira admin link" - this been used , no response at all.
That's why question is asked here , that Atlassian need to provide that information on how to find and contact for "Admin".
