My Jira board is based on a filter to consolidate 2 different boards. I am inheriting this board from a previous Jira user. My Jira admins have provided me admin access. I have changed the filters to my name, but I still am unable to create a sprint or update the backlog to the board.
Has anyone experienced this?
What should my next steps be?
How do I fix this?
In order to be able to create Sprint in a board you need to have manage Sprint permission on every Projects the board is based on.
You also need edit permission on those projects
Regards
I already was given that permission and it shows I have that permission. I have admin permissions to the board, and the boards connected.

Since you mentioned the new board is a combination of two different boards, you might want to check the projects these boards are associated to.
You need to have the manage sprint permission in all the projects that are included in this board.
You can ask you admin to use the Permission Helper and use your user to check the manage sprint permission to check if your user is missing that permission in some projects.
PS: manage Sprint permission, and Managing the board are different permissions

Hi @Kaitlyn OConnell ,
Would recommend checking the Permission Helper again with all the associated Projects.
In the unlikely event that this too didn't help, please get in touch with the Atlassian Support team to debug the issue for you : https://support.atlassian.com/
