I have a number of users (from an external team) who were previously given access to our Atlassian account. I've revoked access to these users and removed their user accounts, and I've also removed any association they previously had with previous tickets (assignees, reporters, watchers, comments made).
After doing all this, I still see these users show up when trying to assign a user or change a reporter.
Any way to have this removed or is there something I'm missing?
If the user show in the “no site access” list under Jira settings > User management then they should not show in the drop down for Assignee. Please verify this is the case.
There are only 4 users that appear when I filter by "No Site Access" and they aren't the users I'm referring to. The users I have a problem with have been removed following revoking their access.
Actually, I've even deleted the project that they were associated with and new projects have been created since their removal.
However, you are correct that they don't show up when trying to select an "Assignee" but they do show up in the "Reporter" list.

Ah, I see. I was thinking you were saying the user was showing in the drop down for selection of Assignee.
I do not believe you will be able to eliminate those names at least cleanly. I have found that trying to delete users rather than simply making them inactive to be fraught with errors.
