How do I manually assign a jira ticket back to the previous assignee

I am relatively new to jira and I have a question.

I accidentally managed to assign a ticket to myself. How do I manually assign the ticket back to the previous assignee ?

Hi @barry kimelman 

You can go to the issue histtory available at the bottom of the issue to figure out who was assigned before you, then update the assignee by clicking on the current value (your name) then search for the previous name you found in the history.
