How do I make the due-date field's date-picker the same in a custom screen as in the default screen

In our workflow, we have a screen associated with a transition where the `due-date` field is included in the screen. However, whenever this screen renders, the appearance of the date-picker associated with this field is different from the one in the default task/issue screen view. How can the I force the field's appearance in the transition screen to be similar to the default appearance?
I have attempted to change the date-format without success.
In the default screen, the date-picker appears as follows (which is how I would like it to appear on all other screens):
