How do I make start date and due date on an Epic editable?

I am using JIRA Cloud, Classic Project and want to add Start and Due dates to my Epics so I can show them on Roadmaps.

have managed to get the field onto the Epic view, but they aren't editable.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @Chris Deutschmann ,

in order to make them editable, you need to add these two fields in the Edit Screen associated to Epic. Moreover, please verify the users have "Schedule Issue" permission in order to make editable the Due Date field and "Edit permission" so that users can see Edit button.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

thanks @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_ that helped.

I get really confused with the various relationships between issues / screens / schemes etc.  Can you maybe point me in the direction of a "For Dummies" type of guys that explains how these all relate to each other?

Hi @Chris Deutschmann ,

this a very useful article for dummies that explain relationship between schemes and project https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-projects/
