How do I load story points to my sprint stories?

What I found online was to do the following steps:

Click on Jira icon >
Go to Jira Settings >
Go to Issues>
Go to Custom Fields >
Search Story Point > Click on Three Dots (right side of the Story Point)>

Click on Configuration>Click on Edit Configuration>

select an Issue Type(Story/Task/Subtask)>click on ‘Modify‘ button.

But I could not find the custom fields.

Hi @William Thompson welcome to the Atlassian community.

Steps to load the story points on a Jira issue:

  1. Open a Jira issue added in the Sprint board.
  2. Once that Jira issue is opened, on the right panel look for "story points" field.
  3. Below the story point field, you will see a "small circle with 0". Click on that "0" and it will be editable now. Enter the story point for that Jira issue and click outside that field for auto saving.

In step 3, the guide means that you should go to the "Issues" tab under "Jira Settings"! (It does NOT mean the "Issues" drop-down menu in the top.)

That's the interface where you configure custom fields, workflows, etc.
