How do I investigate why I get a login error, when I can still login?

Infrequently, I get the "We can't log you in right now" message in Jira Software, but the top bar lets me select my project and continue working (so I'm obviously logged in).

Where would I look to investigate what might be triggering this message for me? (I'm a System Administrator, so I should be able to look wherever you might suggest)

@Jolene Hey If you are using JIRA Software Server, and have access to the JIRA hosting Server and JIRA filesystem, then you should monitor JIRA application logs, that are located in JIRA application home or data directory, to see the enteries for your error. The log file name is "atlassian-jira.log".

Please see this Atlassian doc for more details on the location of JIRA application logs and Tomcat Application Server logs in JIRA file system: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/important-directories-and-files-938847744.html
