After some changes, Atlassian is now trying to search across every connected account, which is cluttering up my search results. How do I get search in Atlassian apps to only search Atlassian apps again?
My search bar placeholder text now says odd things like "Search your Slack DMs and messages".
This is in Confluence (or Jira) where I am trying to search Confluence and hit with this message talking about Slack.
Then my search results will have a "Recent" section at the top filled with Google docs before the actual search in the current Atlassian app. How do I turn off results from non-Atlassian apps?
With the Names/Content taken out, a typical search looks something like this, where the top result is a Google Sheets document.
I can narrow a specific search down to Confluence OR Jira, but that's even more extra steps.
I'd expect to be able to uncheck slack and Google Drive and stop seeing those in search results, but haven't found anything in my personal settings.
I have the accounts linked for the useful features like slack notifications and don't want to turn the whole connection off, but this search clutter is wasting my time.
Hi Casey, you can keep those accounts connected and just pull their results out of search, no need to disconnect anything. As an org admin, go to admin.atlassian.com, then your org > Apps > Connectors, expand the site, find the app (Slack, Google Drive), open the ••• More actions menu > Manage, and switch off "Show results for this app in Rovo Search", then Save. The connector stays live so your notifications keep flowing; it just stops surfacing in the search bar. One catch: this is site-wide, not per-user, so it hits everyone, and there's still no individual-user toggle (tracked as ROVO-558). Full steps: Manage your Teamwork Graph connectors.
Hi @Casey Gould
I think Rovo Search can't be fully disabled, and these connectors are all-or-nothing at the org level.
There's been community discussion asking for more granular user-level controls, but as of now Atlassian hasn't shipped that.
