in the above scenario, I go to fill in "Time Spent" (past tense), then when I go to "Date Started" (past tense) it populates with the current time/date. Is there a way (if not why?!?) to have the date started take into consideration that I'm likely coming in here to fill in the time _after_ I'v done the task and if I enter 30m into Time Spent, have the Date Started field update to Now() - 30m???
It isn’t designed to do that. You have to choose the desired date and time. I guess for the “why” it comes down to attempting to understand what the majority of users would want and implementing it. I’m not sure the majority of people would want it to be “now -“.
