I am attempting to gather the URL of the new child issue which I have linked to a master Issue.

I have setup the automation as follows

When the issue type -> Blocks

Issue type -> Problem

Issue matches a label -> master

then slack the below message

--------------------------------------------------------

A Subject ________ has been linked to Master: {{issue.toUrl}}
Summary: {{issue.summary}}
Please review

---------------------------------------------------------

I have had no luck in retreiving the child issue link. {{issue.toUrl}} retrieves the link of the master issue.

Appreciate any advice here.

Hi @vigneshs -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

For a question like this, please post images of your complete automation rule and the audit log details showing the rule execution.  Those provide context for the community to offer suggestions.  Thanks!

Until we see those...

Please try using the {{issue.issuelinks}} smart value, and you can then filter by the type of your link.  Or if you are obtaining the linked issues using JQL and a branch (or Lookup Issues action) you can access their fields directly.

Also when in doubt about the smart values (and structure) for a field, please take a look at this how-to article: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/find-the-smart-value-for-a-field/

Kind regards,
Bill
