How do I get a next-gen project to complete stories rather than dropping them when I close a sprint?

DAmador December 11, 2020

We recently transitioned to next-gen and tried to close our first sprint. In doing so, the stories that were done, were marked as incomplete and moved to the next sprint in our backlog. Can we a.) re-open that sprint and b.) how do we get the stories to marked as completed when closing a sprint.

were these issues in the right-most column when sprint completed. That is required to consider the issue as complete w/in the sprint.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the quick response. They were in the right-most column on the board when the sprint was completed. However, I just checked and the workflow may not have been setup correctly. I just moved the Done column to the right-most position on the workflow. Would re-opening the sprint and then completing it again correct this issue, since Done wasn't aligned properly on the workflow previously?

Thanks,

Diego

yes it should correct things. or you could simply start a new 'dummy' sprint and immediately close if you wanted. might make your reports a bit wonky.

Thanks, it definitely worked. We had to go the dummy sprint route, but that was perfect. Much appreciated.
