Hello all,
Forgive me for my potentially poor choice of Jira terms...
BTW: I am using a Next-gen Jira project.
My problem is that when viewing issues from Search > View all issues... in this view, there is a left side column that displays the last viewed Jira issues, and to the right is a very detailed view of the selected (from left column) issue. In this view, I will see a link to an associated "mentioned in" Confluence document link.
However, if I click on the issue link or Jira project number (above the issue summary text), Jira opens to show only the selected issue. In this view, I no longer see all the details of the issue. Not only is this counter-intuitive (b/c selecting the issue should be the detailed view!). More importantly, I no longer see the "mentioned in" link to Confluence.
I was certain that there was a way to configure the view, but I cannot find it.
I'll post some censored screen captures to hopefully better explain my problem. Thank you so much. :)
Answer: Talked with Atlassian, it appears that this is a bug.
Fortunately, I am told that the bug is high priority to fix. :)
Hi Shawn,
I am not on the Jira team but I will try to help.
The team are working on a new Issue View that is still a Work-In-Progress but is being gradually rolled out to Customers on Cloud.
Your first screenshot is the old Issue View and your second screenshot is the New Issue View - so you're caught between two stages here.
I think you can switch off the New Issue View in your Labs settings, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
I hope that helps!

Hi Martyn,
Thank you for your response. The second screen shot is the problem. That view is missing the information from the first screen. In particular, I need to see the Confluence "mentioned in" link.
I believe that is what the Atlassian team is fixing in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-69225

I read about this possibility before, but how do I access labs settings from a next-gen project? I don't see that option.
Thank you

Now that I think of it, I suspect that you can only turn off the New Issue View in a Classic Project. You could migrate your issues to a Classic Project for now until that bug is fixed: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/migrate-between-next-gen-and-classic-projects-957974933.html

I selected the Next-gen because it better suited the requirements of this simplified project.
I was assured by Atlassian that this issue is high priority to fix. Hopefully, that means that the fix is coming, within the next week or two.

:(
No answer. I am so annoyed with this next-gen project. But I don't know if it's me or a fault in the product.

This problem is a blocker.
I just tested this issue in a classic Jira project by Adding an Issue Link, selecting Confluence Page, Selecting a Confluence page.
The page appears as Issue Links > Wiki Page
Clicking on the Issue View, the Wiki Page link is still available. Not so, in the Next-Gen project view. Why? How do I fix this?
Thank you. :)
