I would like to be able develop a report based on my users requests to determine what outstanding items are yet to be actioned by an IT/DEV team.

I can currently see age of ticket and who the items are assigned to however cannot collate across multiple boards the 'user' that has created the request and then drill down into specific details or 'ids' of tasks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Greg Small

You can write a JQL for the"user" which you are interested in and then the JQL filter can fetch the issues from all boards/projects or you can also create a generic filter and have a pie-chart based on assignee for the search results returned by the issue filter.

Greg, welcome to the community.

I'm not precisely sure what you are looking for so unsure how to direct you to the likely best solution. I'm not quite sure how "actioned by" is defined in your world. You also mentin "collate across multiple boards" and I expect you mean that you want to have a view across multiple Projects. Boards are simply filtered views of data that is presented in a graphical manner.

With that said, I will provide some feedback here in hopes it gets the topic moving in the right direction.

  • You can create a dashboard and leverage the available gadgets to reflect the current activities of your team. You can show: filtered lists based upon whatever JQL you want, two dimensional charts to show things like assignee-status, closed vs. resolved chart, etc. Please see here for more details but note that the link is for cloud so if you are on server please search for the article associated w/ your version.
  • You can create a filter and an associated subscription that will email you daily or how ever often you want.

In both cases you can have the data represent across multiple projects. Personally, I believe the dashboard option will be the way to go for your use case.
