How do I create an epic link in a Kanban board?

I dont know where or how to create a new epic link in my Kanban board...

Hello Mariangela,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

Epic link is the relation between a standard issue (Story, bugs, tasks) to an Epic issue. That been said, Epics can be linked to other issues and not to boards.

To add an Epic link between an Epic and an Issue, navigate to your issue > Click to edit the field Epic Link and add the Epic you want.

If you want to only display Epics in your Kanban board, you must:

1 - Make sure your board filter is returning the Epics you want (Board Settings > General)

2 - Confirm that the Epic Statuses are mapped to your board columns (Board settings > Columns)

3 - Check if your swimlanes are configured to display it (Board settings > Swimlanes).

Once you have these three settings properly configured, the Epics should be appearing in your backlog and board views.
