How do I create a copy of a JIRA Board in a project without the original settings?

I created a copy of a Board in a project I'm currently working on but I can't make any edits on one board without it reflecting in the other copied/original board.

I only need the content of the original board without the settings so I can manipulate both boards independently. I hope this is quite clear.

What do you mean by “manipulate”? A board is just a graphical view of issues. If you transition an issue on one board that transition will be reflected on the other. Similarly, if you change the rank on one board it will change on the other. What is you goal exactly?

For instance, I assign a task to a teammate on one board. This automatically reflects on the copied board.

I want to be able to use both boards independent of each other in such a way that I can assign a task to an individual on the original board and assign the same task to another individual on the copied board.

I copied the board because I wanted one to be for publishers and the other duplicate for the video editors. Same content, different assignees and work specification.
