How do I connect to my Jira account using JAVA API jar

I have downloaded the jar (jira-api-7.1.0-QR20151229171111) from JAVA API and I need to connect to my jira account using this api ?

can someone guide me?

Why? There's nothing I can find that would tell you to do this.

Could you explain what you are trying to do? Not "connect using something" but what you are trying to achieve?

There is no API in a random download of part of a system, so that's nonsense.

Could you explain what you are trying to do? Not "create project/issue using something" but what you are trying to achieve? What does the end-user get out of this?
