How do I connect my user story to tests and make traceability in JIRA?

Hi everyone,

We have been using JIRA for project management for several years. Recently we want to track test activities from our user stories (e.g. test cases, bugs ...). We are currently using a standalone test management tool to manage our testing, and JIRA for stories and bugs. Since stories and test cases are not in the same system, we have to use a JIRA custom field to map them, somehow it works but switching between different tools are very bad to us. If somebody knows how to solve my problem, please tell me!

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Fancy

Hi @Fancy Zhao,

I think you can try to use the test management plugin that can be integrated with Jira, which can better assist your needs, such as the following two plugins:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/15711/synapsert-test-management-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1014681/zephyr-for-jira-test-management?hosting=server&tab=overview

Thanks @Ollie Guan for your quick response!

I will take a look at above plugins.
