Hi,

I am doing a lot of bulk edits for dates (start/due) as our timelines change, and its currently a bit annoying always having to click in the search field, search for start date, click it, then enter the value I want.

I would like to be able to set this as a default field that always shows up when doing a bulk edit, like the due date field does. How can this be achieved?

Hii Makayla,

In Jira Cloud, it isn’t currently possible to configure or change which fields appear by default in the Bulk Edit dialog. The default fields are system-defined, and any additional fields (such as Start date) must be added manually via search. Atlassian has an open feature request for this capability.

Hi @Makayla Forsyth

At the moment, Jira’s native List View does not support pinning a specific field in the bulk edit menu, so there is no way to control which fields stay visible during bulk edits.

Alternatively, you may consider the Excel-like Bulk Issue Editor for Jira app, maintained and developed by my team at Ricksoft, which lets you and your team perform bulk editing in an Excel-style grid interface.

Here is a quick demo on how it works:

Thank you.
