How do I change "new feature" issue type to "bug" issue type?

I have a business project under cloud version of JIRA Software. Someone created an issue with "new feature" type that should have been "bug" type. How can I change the issue type?

Hey Gideon,

Just to clarify you want to move the one specific issue from the "New Feature" issue type to the "Bug issue type (?).

If so here's how you can do that:

- There should be a "..." menu at the top right of your issue screen

- Select the "Move" option *If the "Move" option is not available to you you may not have the require permissions to move an issue an you will need to get in touch with a systems admin or someone with admin privileges for your project*

- There should be a series of drop down menus visible now.  Under the Issue Type menu select the "Bug" issue type

- You may now need to go through a series of steps to select a status to migrate to and add some additional information required for the Bug issue type

- Once you have navigated through all of the windows you should now have a "Bug" instead of a "New Feature"
